This is a nice example of the 6 x 9 inch 64 page very heavily illustrated soft cover book DE JODEN in NEDERLAND (The Jews in The Netherlands) by Hans Graf von Monts published about 1940, probably in Germany. The book is published without date or publisher but based on the printing techniques, paper, artwork and binding it is very likely that the book was published in Nazi Germany.
DE JODEN in NEDERLAND begins with an explanation of how Spanish and Portuguese Jews ended up in a small Christian country like Holland. Following the introduction are extremely anti-Semitic quotations from Tacitus, Voltaire, Napoleon, Goethe, Eduard Drumont and Henry Ford.
There are many unflattering photographs of Dutch and other Jews in circumstances from ritual slaughter, the manufacture of matzos, selling things to each other, amidst junk in a flea market, sorting diamonds, etc. Photos on opposing pages contrast those of Jews with Dutchmen, and a large section discusses and depicts the entire Rothschild family and their financial interests in Europe.
There are also full-page photos of Jewish financiers like Felix M. Warburg, Bernhard Baruch, Henry Morgenthau, Julius Barmat and Stavisky.
The book appears to be very much the standard Nazi text on the subject written up with a slant to make it more timely and interesting to people in Holland. Holland was occupied by the Wehrmacht in May 1940 and was not liberated by the Allies until May of 1945. Nice used condition.
