This is an original 1922 example of Der internationale Jude - Ein Weltproblem (The International Jew - A World Problem), by American industrialist and car manufacturer Henry Ford. This very early German language version of Volume 1 of Henry Ford’s controversial book was translated by Paul Lehmann. On the title page it says it is the “first American book about the Jewish Question”.
The book measures 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch, has 220 pages and was published by Hammer Verlag of Leipzig. It has a foreword by the publisher and an introduction by Ford in which he explains the reason for writing this book which he calls the preliminary findings of the analysis of the Jewish Question. Part of the findings were published in the Dearborn Independent in October 1920 and as a result of overwhelming interest, this book was published.

This book was very helpful to those in Germany in the formative years of the Nazi Party in their effort to build a case against “International Jews”. In the back there are several pages of advertising for other books, some also anti-Jewish, published by Hammer-Verlag. This is a very rare 88 year old anti-Semitic book in much better than average used condition.
