From the series Deutsche Künstler unsere Zeit (German Artists of our Time), this is a heavily illustrated book by Hans Stephan about famous architect Wilhelm Kreis. It was published in 1944, commemorating the 70th birthday of Baumeister Kreis and has a preface by Reichsminister Albert Speer.

Speer wrote Wilhelm Kreis was a master architect with an amazing vision, a great example for every German citizen but especially the German youth. His accomplishments demonstrate the changes between the Reich of Bismarck and the Germany of Adolf Hitler, and that the Führer "still has many important projects in mind for him!"

This 6 x 8-¼ inch, 96 page softcover Third Reich book contains 105 images and two fold-outs. There are many examples of Kreis' creations all over Germany as well as a bust of him by Arno Breker. Architectural drawings of the OKH in Berlin, the Adolf-Hitler-Platz and Luftgaukommando in Dresden, architectural models of the Hitler Youth Tower in Dresden, furniture design, designs for war memorials in Poland and North Africa, etc., etc.

This 71 year old Nazi publication has a 1945 dedication in pencil on the front flyleaf. The book is complete and in well used condition with its original color dust jacket.
