| There were three new German stamps issued at the time of the International Automobile & Motorcycle Exhibition in Berlin in 1939.
The stamps were a 25 pfennig blue stamp featuring the new Kraft durch Freude (KdF) Car or Volkswagen, a 12 pfennig red stamp featuring the world speed record setting Mercedes-Benz and Auto-Union race cars and a 6 pfennig green stamp that pictured the first Mercedes-Benz car. We offer all three of the rare stamps here affixed to a 4-1/2 x 6-3/8 inch grey envelope having all three stamps canceled AT the Internationale Automobil - und Motorrad-Ausstellung on 26 February 1939. The envelope is unaddressed and unsealed and is in fine condition. |
