| This is a splendid if not unique collection of in-house magazines published during the Nazi era by an important chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing company, Chemische Fabrik von Heyden of Radebeul-Dresden, Germany. |

| This collection of 25 different original, heavily illustrated in-house magazines begins with the very first one published in October 1939, and continues through the issue for November-December 1942. All issues are 8-1/4 x 11-1/2 inches in size and contain up to about 16 pages each. All are held in a special blue hardcover 2-post company binder. |

There is a substantial amount of information in the magazines about the pharmaceutical and chemical research and production at Chemische Fabrik von Heyden but they contain a wealth of information on subjects such as: the men in the Armed Forces, machines used by the company to replace humans, a photo essay on 6 Months in a Wehrmacht Flak battery, advances in X-ray technology, a trip across Russia to Kobe, Japan on the trans-Siberian railway, factory Luftschutz, factory emergency medical response teams, the factory fire department, poison gas warfare response teams, local troops on their way to war, a machine for applying cigarette mouthpieces, fog in London, Prague, volunteer war work, .... |
