This is the 5 November 1932 issue of the newspaper Für Volk und Heimat (For Nation and Homeland), the right-wing Bayerisch (Bavarian) newspaper For the Thinking Voter. The very next day the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP or Nazi Party) won a resounding victory in voting for seats in the Reichstag, the German Parliament. That victory set in motion the events that culminated with Adolf Hitler being appointed Germanys 23rd Chancellor on 30 January 1933, only a couple of months later. |

|
| The 20 x 27 inch (folds to 13-1/4 x 20 inches) newspaper explained why Bavarians should not vote for either Hitler or the communists, but rather vote for the Bavarian National Party, which seems today like a very middle-of-the-road option. At the time, it must have seem like a traitorous thing to do since they offered no way out of Germanys post-Versailles circumstances. |

| No good Third Reich collection is complete without pieces of enemy propaganda from the Kampfzeit. This piece was part of a German police / political file for the past 70 years and is in spectacular condition. |
