This beautiful presentation edition of Unsere deutsche Wehrmacht is undated and in very good virtually unused condition. The top edge of the pages edges are in gold as is usual for the most expensive editions of many German Third Reich era books. The book is complete, no writing, no odor.

This is a rare Third Reich photo book called Unsere deutsche Wehrmacht (Our German Armed Forces) by Major Hermann Foertsch of the Reichskriegsministerium (Nazi State War Ministry) published by Zeitgeschichte Verlag of Berlin, the forerunner of Heinrich Hoffmann Verlag.

This particular example is a rare 7-¼ x 10 inch presentation edition of Unsere deutsche Wehrmacht with genuine brown leather hard covers and gold blocking. The 96 pages have 185 rare seldom seen photos from the Nazi Heer or Army, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe. After President von Hindenburg died, Foertsch was given the new "Oath to the Führer" by his superior Walter von Reichenau, and one whole page in this book is dedicated to this Führereid.

After a 10 page written introduction by Major Foertsch this wonderful book has photos of boot camp, barracks life, field exercises and cleaning up afterwards, firing machine guns, target shooting, mortars, carrier pigeons on dogs (see image directly below), stringing communication wire, working with bridges and rubber boats, motorcycles and command cars, armored vehicles, field artillery, halftracks and cavalry horses, bread bakers, maneuvers, care of equipment, musical evenings, dancing and dating, Kriegsmarine ships, sailors and life aboard a Kriegsmarine ship, various Luftwaffe airplanes, turning over the SA Squadron to the Führer, anti-aircraft or FLAK equipment, etc., etc.
