Vom Sinn dieses Krieges, Prof. Dr. Friedrich Grimm, terramare 1940
Terramare Office Berlin
Terramare Berlin, Vom Sinn dieses Krieges, Prof. Dr. Friedrich Grimm
During the Third Reich, Terramare Publications in Berlin specialized in the publication of booklets, essays and press releases in foreign languages, providing the public outside of Greater Germany the National Socialist view on subjects like Nazi foreign policy, economic policy, racial policy, compulsory labor, social welfare, education, culture, the place of women in German society, etc. Their office in Berlin was on Kronenstrasse 1 and their printing facility was located on Dresdenerstrasse 43 in Berlin.

The text in this rare original 5-3/4 x 8-5/8 inch, 30 page 1940 Nazi softcover publication deals with the injustice of the Treaties of Versailles and St. Germain, post World War I French and English propaganda against Germany, the return of the occupied Rhineland and Saarland to Germany, Hitler's rise to power, his connection to average German people, and his tireless work to make Germany a proud nation again. Grimm calls it the "the Great Liberation Politics of the Führer".
This is is a very nice original example of a rare German language Terramare publication called Vom Sinn dieses Krieges (The Reasons for this War) written by Prof. Dr. Friedrich Grimm, an anti-Semitic German lawyer, politician and publicist. In the 1920s Grimm defended many well-known German industrialists who had run afoul of the Treaties of Versailles and St. Germain as well as early Nazis in trouble with the law. He was friendly with Adolf Hitler, made frequent visits to the Berghof in the late 1920s and early 1930s and advised Hitler on matters of law and how to circumvent the Treaties of Versailles and St. Germain. During that time he also met Dr. Joseph Goebbels.
German people in Austria, the Sudetenland, the Saar and Rhineland had been reunited with the Fatherland, and Grimm explains that time after time Hitler had managed to do this without war. However, because of the foreign policies of England, France and their Allies war had broken out. A war of German destiny and for the existence of the German Nation.

This rare 83 year old Third Reich publication is in very nice used condition. No odor.
