This is a big 10 x 14 inch cream colored official Third Reich government document recognizing Doctor of Medicine Franz Depisch as a University Lecturer “In the Name of the Führer”.

A promotional document like this one was a very meaningful thing, and this document was signed “In the Name of the Führer” on behalf of the Reichsminister für Wissenschaft, Erziehung and Volksbildung, sealed and dated in Berlin on 15 September 1943. Part of the text of the document promises Hitler’s protection to Dr. Depisch.

The signature is an actual signature in grey-blue ink and the 3+ inch “Führer Seal” is perfectly embossed. The Depisch document is precisely as we bought it, with some creases and without any folder. For a collector interested in either medicine or teaching during the Hitler period in Germany, it would still be a desirable piece and is bargain priced.
