This is a very good used example of the 6 x 8-5/8 inch, 64 page publication POLEN ODER POLLACKEN? (Poles or Pollocks?) as published by Verlag Joh. Kasper & Co. in Berlin in 1939.

The book uses every possible anti-Polish statistic, comparison, stereotype and historical quote in an effort to depict the Polish population as very low brow humans ruled by a terrorist elite and bent on assimilating the Germans living under Polish rule since the end of World War I by undermining their German heritage and culture.

The book has to be recognized in the context of the cross-border hatred of German and Polish people in the months leading up to the outbreak of open warfare in September 1939 when the Germans and their Soviet allies divided the country of Poland (2/5ths to Germany, 3/5ths to the Soviet Union).

Very historic and rare hate propaganda from the Third Reich, in nice used condition. No odor. Comes with a clipping from a newspaper from Kattowitz dated 7 September 1939 with the headline, "Jews under the Free Shooters" which reports about the shooting of two guards by anti-German insurgents, among them 14 and 15 year old Jews.
