This is an authentic New Old Stock luggage label for the steamer trunk of a middle-class passenger to be carried in the baggage room aboard one of the Norddeutscher Lloyd steamships serving South America, Middle America and Cuba, from Germany during the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler.
The label measures about 3-3/4 x 5-3/4 inches and has water soluble adhesive on the back. It is in like-new, unused condition but it is absolutely guaranteed to be an original, NOT a recent copy. This sort of label was a prized possession of many former SS Officers like Adolf Eichmann, who made their way to freedom in South America after World War II. In excellent condition.
