This lot consists of ten very, very rare original Nazi walking stick badges (called Wanderstock Abzeichen or Wanderstock Nägel in German) of the sort that tourists would buy at historical places during the Third Reich to nail on to their walking and climbing staffs. Similar souvenir badges are still sold today in some places in Europe, but of course, without the swastikas and other Nazi identifications. In many, many years of dealing in this sort of material, this is the only set or collection of Nazi walking stick badges we have ever been able to acquire, and when we occasionally found individual pieces they were always priced very high.
This collection inlcudes the Nazi badges for the Führer's house or Berghof on the Obersalzberg above Berchtesgaden, the Nazi martyr Honor Temples on the Königsplatz in central Munich, the city of Braunau am Inn and Hitler's birthhouse there (three completely different badges), the enormous Riesenrad or ferris wheel in Praterpark in Vienna, the Opera in central Vienna, the Rathaus or City Hall in Vienna, the Parliament building in Vienna, and Adolf Hitler Strasse winding up the Kahlenberg from Vienna. At the time these badges were made, Vienna was second only to Berlin as the largest city in Adolf Hitler's Grossdeutschland.
As you can see all of these badges clearly describe the item that is central to their identity and most are decorated with swastikas or swastika flags. Condition is very nice, exactly as shown.
