This lot consists of 11 wonderful original 3-1/2 x 5 inch Third Reich photographs showing a unit of the German Army being reviewed by nine officers, probably on the occasion of their leaving for the front.
One of the photos shows a combat decorated officer standing on a stage decorated with an Iron Cross just behind a fully loaded MG42 and two boxes of ammunition. That officer is shown in several other photos and may be taking command of the unit. A few of the photos also show a German Army band but without the swallow's nests on their shoulders.
