This is a nice example of the rare 6-7/8 x 9-3/4 inch, very heavily illustrated 40 page soft cover text book Rechenbuch für Volksschulen (Arithmetic Book for Elementary Schools) as published in 1941 for the public schools of Köln (Cologne) and Aachen by Verlag Peter Schmitz Witwe in Bonn and Verlag L. Schwann of Düsseldorf.

Using up-to-date color illustrations of Hitler Youth boys and girls, tanks, canons, soldiers, airplanes, marching columns and swastika flags, the book explains rudimentary arithmetic. It also provides lessons about German coins, saving money, the family, etc.

Rare and in good used condition.
