In the process of buying militaria in odd lots we sometimes end up with a combination of a great deal of genuine Third Reich material and a bit of material of unknown origin, which we can not sell as genuine, but which may be useful to someone as a curio. The old rings on this USMBOOKS web page are exactly that type of thing. We consider these to be "phantom" Third Reich items produced AFTER WW2 and offer them as such, but we have found examples of some of them on other websites offered at outrageously high prices.

We have also had this ring for over 30 years. It is a Sterling silver band in deep relief on the outside with all the same symbols that are to be found on SS honor rings except that the leaves on the band are completely different. The work on this ring is very well done and on the inside it is marked Mein Ehre heißt Treue H. Himmler followed by overlapped SS runes and the number 925 which indicates it is Sterling silver. We have been unable to find any other information about this ring, and we offer it for its curio value only and not as an authentic Third Reich item.

The outside diameter of the ring is 25 mm and the inside is about 21 mm. The band is just over 7 mm wide. The only one we have. Very good condition, exactly as shown.

The text goes on to say "these rings were made for a very few of Röhm's closest associates, and they were probably taken and destroyed after the Night of the Long Knives incident..." Other than the reference cited above, we have been unable to find any other information about this ring, and we offer it for its curio value only and not as an authentic Third Reich item.

This is a peculiar old ring (we've had it more than 30 years) that is nearly identical to a ring featured on the front cover and on page 9 of the popular collector book "Treasure Trove - the Looting of the Third Reich" in which it is called the "SA High Leaders Honor Ring."

The ring is nicely made in high relief with a bright finish and dark cloisonné filling in the SA insignia. The motto In herzlichen Freundschaft - Ernst Röhm on the inside is faint, but stamped or engraved and there is no metallic content stamp. The outside diameter of the ring is 24 mm and the inside diameter is 19 mm. The band is just over 7 mm wide. The only we have.
