Lot #701 - right, this Nazi Postkarte with an illustration of Generalfeldmarschall von Kluge on the front was written on 29 October 1941 by Fritz Schindler and addressed his Friedi as "sweet little bride". He acknowledged receipt of several parcels (loved her apple cake), writes he is very busy with work but that he counting the days (55) until they will be reunited.  Mailed in an envelope.

Offered on this USMBOOKS web page is a selection of absolutely 100% original Nazi era postcards from the rare series Der Führer und seine Generale des Heeres (The Führer and His Army Generals) that were published in agreement with hte Oberkommando des Heeres (OKH) by Verlag Ernst Steiniger of Berlin.  They measure about 4-1/8 x 5-7/8 inches and have beautiful artist drawings of famous, highly decorated Wehrmacht Field Marshals.

These original Nazi postcards have messages on the back, written in pencil and mailed by Feldpost to a lady in Wien (Vienna) in 1941 by Uffz. Fritz Schindler who was attending the Pionier Schule at Dessau-Roßlau.  Some have Feldpost stamps, some were mailed in an envelope and some were even written in shorthand!  They are all in good, little used condition.

Lot #702- right, this Nazi Postkarte with an illustration of Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch on the front was written on 1 October 1941 by Uffz. Schindler and mailed in an envelope like the card above. He confirms the receipt of several numbered letters and packages and mentions he has not yet seen the movie Maria Stuart.  He also wrote his work and hunger remained the same.

Lot #703- left, this Third Reich postcard with an illustration of Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel on the front was written at 11 PM on Thursday 2 October 1941.  It is a quick note acknowledging receipt of letter 573, but Schindler mentioned that number 571 had still not arrived.  Mailed in an envelope.

Lot #705- left, this Third Reich postcard with an illustration of Generalfeldmarschall von Bock on the front was written at 11 PM on 6 October 1941 and acknowledges packages from Friedl and his mother that arrived and that are still missing. Schindler also inquired about Friedl's new hairdo and told her to stay healthy and courageous.  Mailed in an envelope.

Lot #707- right, Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb is shown on this Nazi postcard which was written in shorthand at 12 October and mailed by Feldpost on the 13th.  The stamps on the back are the same as on postcard 704.  Note that the ink from the Feldpost stamps is visible on the front of the card.

Lot #708- left,  Generalfeldmarschall Erwin von Witzleben  (a leading conspirator in the 20 July plot to kill Hitler who was hung at Plötzensee Prison in Berlin on 8 August 1944) is shown on this Third Reich postcard.  It was mailed by Feldpost from Dessau to Wien on 17 October 1941. Message written in shorthand, with same cancelation stamps as postcard 704.  Received by Friedl Schenk in Wien on 19 October 1941.
