This is an old piece we bought many years ago, a 25mm thick, 80 x 80 mm heavy glass paperweight with a red felt bottom that has a genuine bronze German Sudetenland medal (1 October 1938 Commemorative Medal) mounted inside in such a way that both sides can be seen. Nicely done, weighs almost ¾ of a pound.
Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938 was issued to commemorate the return of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia to Nazi Germany.
