NAZI NEWSPAPER SELLERS METAL SIGN

Fachschaft des Deutschen Zeitungs- und Zeitschriften Einzelhandels
A METAL SIGN
AUTHORIZING A
NEWSSTAND TO SELL
NAZI NEWSPAPERS
AND MAGAZINES
This very historic 1-3/4 x 3 inch serial numbered metal sign was made to be attached to a newsstand or kiosk (in a railway station for example) in Austria before 10 April 1938 to show that the proprietor had a license to sell Nazi German newspapers and periodicals. Few such licenses were ever sold by the anti-Hitler government of Austria. It bears serial number II 24557 and has holes in all four corners for attaching it to the newsstand.
Nazi newspaper
On 10 April 1938 the great majority of Austria voted to become a part of the Grossdeutschland of Adolf Hitler and every newsstand was free to sell Nazi German newspapers, magazines and other publications without a license. We doubt you will ever see another one of these.

Rare and in very good condition.

Don't miss the Nazi propaganda newspaper Österreichische Beobachter (Austrian Observer) also for sale on the USM website.
This rare Nazi newspaper seller sign is offered forsale for $85.00
delivered to any address
worldwide.
