A NICE SELECTION OF ORIGINAL NAZI MILITARY MANUALS
PAGE 1
Military manuals in Third Reich Germany tended to start in the same way, generally with a full-page portrait of Adolf Hitler, pictures of a General Staff Officers, and/or flags and then data on the life of a soldier, a history of German Forces, basic military information, etc. Then they got specific, with detailed information about the subject of the particular manual. There is a great deal of information in these books and much of it is not repeated from one book to the other. Publisher and year of publication is also crucial to the information contained in Third Reich military manuals.

For Cannoneers and Drivers of Light Fieldgun Batteries.
This is a nice example of the 5-3/4 x 8-1/4 inch, 280 page, very heavily illustrated 1939/1940 guidebook for cannoneers as published by Richard Schröder Verlag of Berlin, Germany.
Nazi uniforms
Nazi swastika flags
The book contains four pages of full-color uniform and flag data as well as all the information necessary for people involved with light artillery and fieldguns. Illustrations of caissons, optical equipment and plotting equipment are unusual and very well done.

There is a large section on mapping and of course, on horses and their equipment as German artillery was very much horse-powered.

MP40 P38
Nazi Egg hand grenade

This book does not deal with physical training, military courtesy, hygiene or that sort of thing. It is largely about weapons and their handling from the Light Machine Gun and its ammunition, to the Pistole 38 (P38), the Schmeisser Maschinenpistole (MP38-MP40), stick grenades and model 39 Egg Grenades, the PzB Anti-Tank Rifle, mortar, etc. The last part of the book is devoted to combat tactics of the squad. Very good condition.
