For sale on this USMBOOKS web page is an original Third Reich map published by the Reichsamt für Landesaufnahme, the Nazi State Office for Geological Surveying at Wilhelmstrasse 9 in Berlin. This is a very detailed black & white 1:100,000 scale, single sheet approximately 28 x 35 inch map that was sold at bookstores during the Third Reich for 1.50 Reichsmarks.
The huge scale of this Reichskarte or State Map (1 cm = 1 km!) makes it the perfect type for use by anyone researching anything to do with the industrial area in the southwestern part of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany. It shows highways (finished and unfinished), country roads, forest roads, railways, churches, cemeteries, battlefields, memorials, forests, ruins, sport facilities, stone quarries, etc.
Cities shown on this Nazi map are Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg, Speyer, Hockenheim (home of the famous Hockenheimring motor racing circuit), Worms, Weinheim, Sinsheim, Walldorf, as well as smaller towns on the Rhine, Neckar and Main rivers.
This original Nazi map is in very nice used condition, no tape and wear to the eagle and swastika cover. This example has red stamps on the cover and on the map stating it was for service use only.
