This is an absolutely original Third Reich, two-sided color map of Berlin and the Reichssportfeld, the 1936 Olympic facilities produced by Dresdner Bank. It was produced for international visitors to Berlin and is in English, German, French and Spanish.

Folded the color map measures 4-¼ x 8-1/8 inches, and completely unfolded 24 x 32 inches so the detail is amazing! One side of the map has a very detailed map of the city of Berlin showing museums, government buildings, public transportation, and of course the branch offices of Dresdner Bank, still one of the largest banks in Germany.

The back of the map is devoted to the Reichssportfeld, the Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Grounds and Olympic Village. The map calls out the various venues for swimming, hockey, riding, tennis, shooting, athletics, etc. as well as the Augustiner Bier Platz, the Dietrich Eckart amphitheater and stage, etc., etc.

There is a transportation map of Berlin, a map of the sailing regatta venue and the Olympic Village, even a map for the the Olympic sailing events near Kiel and the Winter Olympic facilities at Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

A very rare original Third Reich color map, the best of the 1936 Olympic Berlin maps, in very nice little-used condition. No tears, no tape, no odor and the colors have not faded at all.
