This is an excellent example of the 6 x 8-1/4 inch, 128 page heavily illustrated Nazi book Das Geheimnis Japanischer Kraft (the Secret of Japanese Power) by Albrecht Fürst von Urach as published the Central Publishing House of the Nazi Party Franz Eher Nachfolger in Berlin in 1943. The book was written a year or two earlier at the height of Japanese expansion on the Pacific Rim, and in it Von Urach reveals the secret strengths of the secluded island culture of Japan, and its military.

He begins with the history of Japanese people and their racial purity and continues with the Samurai and the building of modern Japan. In the process he shows and explains arts like sword making, the modern industrial might of the nation and the power of the military / political government. There is a chapter on Japanese lifestyle, religion, ancestor belief, the Japanese soldier, training and equiping the Japanese armed forces, the Tenno cult, the power of the Axis, etc.

Excellent maps in the back, very well illustrated and in very good condition.
