This is a very nice example of the rare heavily illustrated Third Reich guidebook called MÜNCHEN LEBEN / BAUTEN / SCHÄTZE or MUNICH, Life / Buildings / Treasures. This 4-1/2 x 6-3/4 inch, 64 page soft cover pocket guidebook by Dr. Hugo Schnell was published in 1935 by Dr. Schnell and Dr. Steiner in Munich.

It contains the history of München or Munich and information about places of interest, historic churches, palaces, museums, parks, etc. Nazi sights and and NSDAP buildings in the Hauptstadt der Bewegung or Capital of the Nazi Movement are in the 20th century section. There are many photos of famous sights as well as tips for travelers regarding opening hours and prices of museums.

This practical Nazi guidebook is indexed and the very precisely detailed 17 x 17 inch color Stadtplan or Munich fold-out city map is still inside the back cover.
