One for All - All for One
Studenten-Requisiten-Haus Max Lindner
The old picture above shows a group of Berlin University students wearing their fraternity and dueling society uniforms marching in protest of the “Disgraceful Peace” that the leaders of Germany signed to end World War I.

Demel
German fraternity and dueling society uniforms of the period typically consisted of a uniform with visor or visor-less cap, a jacket and trousers and a sword.

The set we offer here is a maker-boxed pair of green wool visor caps and a red, white and black sash bearing the words Einer für Alle - Alle für Einen (One for All, All for One) embroidered in gold metallic thread on both sides of the logo of the fraternity and dueling society.

One of the caps is in excellent condition and the other is in very good condition. The nicer one of the two is about size 7 or 7-1/8 while the other is slightly smaller. Neither cap has any mothing and the name H Deml is written in pencil on the under side of the visor of the smaller cap.

The 1-1/8 x 59 inch gold edged grosgrain sash has a single white button and two button holes in it to secure it over the shoulder of the wearer.

All this material belonged to the same man and comes in its original 3-3/4 x 10 inch black cylindrical Lindner marked box with original packing material.
