100% ORIGINAL 1938 MANNESMANNRÖHREN-WERKE SHARE CERTIFICATE 600 REICHSMARKS

This is a fine original Third Reich Vorzugsaktie or preferred corporate share certificate of 600 Reichsmarks issued in Düsseldorf in January 1938 by Mannesmannröhren-Werke, a huge German metal pipe and tube producer. Founded by the Mannesmann brothers of Remscheid in 1890, Mannesmannröhren-Werke expanded greatly during the Third Reich by confiscating Jewish owned business (Arisierung) and during World War II many of the industrial works incorporated into the industrial conglomerate used forced laborers and POWs.

As the company was a huge Nazi government contractor, it was liquidated by the Allies at the end of World War II, and three independent companies were founded in the late 1940s, all of them still in business today.

This 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inch one sided corporate share certificate is number 31112 from series 10 and was produced by Giesecke & Devrient of Leipzig and Berlin. The 27 mm round white embossed seal of Mannesmannröhren-Werke has a punch hole through it.
