Most Catholic saints and holy people have specially designated feast days. On those days they are remembered in a special way. This was also the case during the Third Reich in Germany and this is a rare 8-1/4 x 13-1/4 inch one-sided Saints Day calendar for 1939.
It was produced as an advertising piece by Ignaz Blauensteiner, a man who sold supplies to chimney sweepers or chimney cleaners in the small town of Pottschach south of Wien, the second largest city in Adolf Hitler's Greater Germany. A male and female chimney sweep are shown with a ladder and their equipment next to a religious shrine.
This genuine 1939 Nazi calendar with swastika banner was once folded and has thumbtack holes in all four corners. Somebody wrote notes in pencil on the back. Rare and in used condition.
