War in the Air - Tales of Flight and Fights in the Great War was published by Verlag Teubner of Leipzig and Berlin in 1935 as a method of teaching Germans to read English by couching the process in an interesting subject - aerial warfare and German air superiority during World War I.
This 5 x 7-5/8 inch, 52-page soft cover book contains 13 extremely interesting illustrations of German and other aircraft of the World War I period, including photos featuring the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen and Werner Voss. The company also produced similar books to teach Germans how to speak French.
Very good used condition with light pencil markings by the original student owner on several pages.
