This is a very nice example of the 8-1/4 x 10-½ inch, 152 page color and black & white hardcover photo book Narvik im Bild (Narvik in Pictures) by Gerd Böttger. This is a First Edition from the 1 - 100,000 printing published by Gerhard Stalling Verlag of Oldenburg and Berlin.
The subtitle of the book translates as "Germany's Battle under the Midnight Sun" and this is Gerd Röttger's eyewitness report in words and more than 125 color and black & white pictures of the Wehrmacht battle for Norway.

There are photos of Wehrmacht troops entering snowy Norway on 9 April 1940, General Dietl with his Gebirgsjaeger, battle damage, a Wehrmacht medic wearing a pistol, Kriegsmarine men and ships among the fjords, Luftwaffe planes over the polar circle, Nazi paratroopers bringing in ammunition supplies, British and French ships, airplanes and tanks that became Wehrmacht casualties, Nazi machine guns on the Swedish border, Nazi field hospital, Polish prisoners, graves of fallen Gebirgsjäger and Fallschirmjäger, etc.
There are also many rare photographs of General Eduard Dietl wearing his Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross after the victory in Norway: reviewing troops, visiting Kriegsmarine troops, relaxing in a deck chair on a Norwegian fishing boat (left), on skis, and being rowed around by Kriegsmarine sailors in a dingy in a fjord.
Narvik im Bild is a wonderful 80+ year old Third Reich hardcover photo book, and this First Edition example is in very nice little-used condition, with a tight spine and no odor.
