The striking 5-¾ x 7-¾ inch, 32-page publication has informative text about the many changes in Italy during the last ten years and very nice photos of the ocean liner Rex, maritime improvements in the ports of Genoa, Naples and Trieste, new railroad facilities in Milan, modern roads, airports and border stations, and the Mussolini Stadium in Rome (Foro Mussolini, shown above).

Ten Years of Italian Progress was published by E.N.I.T. (Ente Nazionale Industrie Turistiche, Italy’s National Tourist Office) in Italy in 1933 (or fascist year XI, the 11th year since the Fascist March on Rome in October 1922). The heavily illustrated English language publication was produced for prospective American visitors and highlights the accomplishments of Fascist Italy from 1922 to 1932.

The last four pages describe and show improvements made in Tripolitania, “Italy’s chief colony” and on the island of Rhodes.

This 89 year old Italian Fascist publication Ten Years of Italian Progress is in very nice condition with its original staples, bright colors and it has no offensive odor. Note that the bottom edge of the cover was trimmed just below the red lettering at the time of manufacture. This does not affect the interior pages!
