THE ILLUSTRATED 1940 EDITION OF
MILITÄRISCHE WÖRTERBUCH
(MILITARY DICTIONARY)

This is a nice example of the 4-5/8 x 7 inch, 456 page well-illustrated hard cover book ,,Militärisches Wörterbuch (Military Dictionary) by Oberst Dr. Fritz Eberhardt as published by Alfred Kröner Verlag in Stuttgart, Germany in 1940.
With thousands of entries, fifteen full-page tables, and nearly 150 illustrations, this book does a splendid job of defining Third Reich German military terms and explaining military concepts, weapons, field gear, uniform parts, ordnance, insigne, orders and medals, optical equipment, aircraft, flags, armored vehicles, etc., right down to the decal used on the Wehrmacht helmet. |

A book like this one is fundamental to any real understanding of Hitlers Armed Forces, their structure and equipment.
The cloth covers are worn on the bottom edge and along the back edge of the spine, otherwise very good condition.
