A COMPLETE 18 PART
UNEXPURGATED ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRANSLATION OF MEIN KAMPF - MY STRUGGLE BY ADOLF HITLER |

| Accurate English language translation of Mein Kampf (My Battle) by Adolf Hitler are rare. Many of the translations were done as propaganda; in an effort to make Hitler look like a buffoon as was so successfully done with Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring in the foreign press. English language propaganda managed to make one of the great air heroes of World War I, and a genuine pioneer of early aviation into a laughing stock outside of Germany. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Many of the translations of Mein Kampf were financed by Hitler’s avowed enemies, so they come off in the same way as a biography of, for example, Rush Limbaugh written by Michael Moore and Al Franken. Unobjective. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The lot we offer for sale here consists of 18 separate 7-1/2 x 9-3/4 inch 40 or so age well-illustrated soft cover books called HITLER'S MEIN KAMPF as published just before World War II for Hutchinson & Co. by agreement with Hurst & Blackett in London, England, in English with 200 full-page illustrations.
Not one word of the text of the original German edition has been left out, and no German edition we have ever seen was illustrated, so these books are unique. |

| The publishers were aware and mentioned the value of an inexpensive English language edition of Mein Kampf by German Chancellor Adolf Hitler, but about half way through the 18 weekly parts World War II began, leaving them unsure of what to say or do. They changed the graphic format slightly, going from a colorful red, yellow, white and black cover to a more severe one in red, white and black.
The 200 pictures in the books are in excellent selection, and some of them we have found nowhere else. The text and photo section of these 18 books are all in very good condition. The cover of Part 1 has been scotch taped in places; Parts 12, 14 and 18 each have scotch taped spines and there is no back cover on Part 18. This is one of the most elusive of all editions of Mein Kampf and in general this rare set is in very nice condition. |
