NAZI FIEGERKARTE OR AERIAL NAVIGATION MAP
Luftwaffe map
A LARGE
SOFT-
LAMINATED
NAZI AERIAL
NAVIGATION
MAP OF THE
SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF
FRANCE
1940 Nazi map
This is an excellent example of a completely original soft-laminated aviation map of the southwestern corner of France and a small portion of Spain along the Atlantic Ocean. As was done with many Luftwaffe Fliegerkarte, this map is laminated on some sort of soft plastic laminate so it can be folded and unfolded many times without ripping.
Southwestern France
The map bears the date September 1940 and is printed at a scale of 1:500 000. Printed at the top of the 39 x 36 inch multi-color map are the names of the two French cities, Bordeaux and Limoges. The map includes that portion of France from Rochefort east to Aubusson, south to Perpignan and from there westward to Bilbao in Spain.

Because of the period German lamination, this map is still in very nice condition and completely readable. It is one of the 20 maps in the German World War II aerial mapping system of Europe from Tilsit to Timisoara and including England and Ireland.
