This is a professionally made 5 x 7-3/4 inch, 21 page Erinnerung Buch or remembrance album of full-page 3-1/2 inch wide photographs from Pilot Training Group E (Flugzeugfuehrerschule E Bremen) which was processed at the Flight School at Bremen airport between 31 March and 1 May 1939.
The first page has a photo edged in black in honor of Cadet Josef Schlüter who was killed while in training.
Other photographs show the visit of Oberinspektor Martin, School Director Oberstleutnant Schröder and his wife, the tall Oberstleutnant and the short Hauptmann Lack, the military staff of the school, the flight instructors, civilian staff of the school, aircraft hangar staff, cooking and maintenance staff, the airport fire department (wearing at least two different kinds of Nazi belt buckles with their visor caps and uniforms), restaurant staff, airport employees, etc.
This is a unique treasure providing a rare insight into Nazi Luftwaffe flight school operations. Very good condition.
