ENVELOPES FROM LETTERS WRITTEN BY A WAFFEN-SS
UNTERSCHARFUEHRER AT KONZENTRATIONSLAGER
DACHAU IN 1940, 1941 AND 1942

Alfred von Eisenstein was a young Waffen-SS Unterscharführer and Rottenführer on the staff of the Kommandant at the Nazi Konzentrationslager Dachau (KLD or Dachau Concentration Camp) during the period 1940 - 1942. His complete address was 1/SS T. Stuba [Totenkopf Verband] -K.L.Dachau 3K, 1 Komp. 2 Zug.

Von Eisenstein was married and wrote Waffen SS Feldpost letters to his wife Grete in Wien (Vienna, the second largest city in the Großdeutschland of Adolf Hitler) and later in Gresten, Germany, frequently.

In the mid 1990s we purchased all the empty Waffen-SS Feldpost envelopes that Frau von Eisenstein had received from her husband during World War II.

After leaving Dachau Concentration Camp, Alfred von Eisenstein also served on the staff of the Kommandant at the Nazi Concentration Camps at Herzogenbusch in Holland, at Sachsenhausen and at Oranienburg near Berlin. We have sold all of the KL Herzogenbusch, KL Sachsenhausen and KL Oranienburg envelopes but still have two types of SS-Feldpost Dachau envelopes available for sale.
The two types are:

The first style, shown in the top picture above, bear a Dachau postmark and a large Waffen-SS Feldpost 3A (Dachau) cancelation in addition to Frau von Eisenstein’s Wien address on the front and SS-Unterscharführer von Eisenstein’s return address on the back.

The second style, shown in the picture directly above, each bear a Dachau postmark and a small Waffen-SS Feldpost K.3 (Konzentrationslager Dachau) cancelation in addition to Frau von Eisenstein’s Wien or Gresten address on the front and SS-Unterscharführer von Eisenstein’s return address on the back.

These very rare envelopes are available on a first-come first-serve basis. The FIRST STYLE Von Eisenstein KL Dachau envelopes are ALL SOLD, and no longer available. The price for the SECOND STYLE Von Eisenstein KL Dachau envelopes is $30.00 each, delivered worldwide. Only typed envelopes are available and we will always ship the very best envelope remaining, but we can not guarantee a specific color or size.

All the envelopes are approximately 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches, opened along the top edge.
