This is an excellent example of the big, rare 7-1/4 x 10 inch, 416 page hardcover book Die Juden in Deutschland (The Jews in Germany) as published on behalf of The Nazi Institute for Studies of the Jewish Question by Verlag Franz Eher Nachfolger (the Nazi Party Publishing House) in München, Germany in 1935. This is a First Edition, with the anti-Jewish quote by Dr. Joseph Goebbels on the page before the foreword.

Shown near the top of this USMBOOKS web page is the round eagle and swastika property stamp of the Kassenleiter or Treasurer of NSDAP Ortsgruppe St. Johannis in Nürnberg in Gauleiter Julius Streicher’s Gau Franken on the front flyleaf with the Ortsgruppe’s library inventory number written next to it in pencil. This book was “liberated” by an American Officer working for the US Army in the building that was once the office of the Kassenleiter. We will be happy to supply the buyer of this book with the name and position of the GI that acquired it in Nürnberg and brought it back to America.

The 86 year old example of Die Juden in Deutschland is in very good little-used condition and has no odor.

The final chapters deal with the immorality, criminality and degeneration of Jews followed by a recap of the most important points the authors attempt to make in the book. We need to point out that quite naturally, the 1935 book was written from a Nazi point of view and in German.

Die Juden in Deutschland explains the presence of Jews in the economic life of Germany over the centuries, particularly in fields such as entertainment, newspapers and magazines, and politics. It explains that Jews had positioned themselves as “administrators” of German culture and provides original family names for well-known Jews who adopted replacement names.

The book begins with a chapter on the Emancipation of the Jews and then elaborates with specifics of Jewish population statistics from 1816 onward for almost any large city in Germany. It details the numbers of Jews and the percentage of Jews in the total populations on professions such as medical doctors, dentists, hospital doctors, lawyers, etc.
