ILLUSTRIERTER BEOBACHTER 1931
Buying back 1926 ILLUSTRIERTER BEOBACHTER
Early issues of Nazi Party publications are among the most sought after NSDAP material in the 21st century, as researchers and scholars seek to decode the mysteries of the power behind the little rag-tag Nazi Party and emphasis has been placed squarely on material that was overlooked and discarded in the Allied de-Nazification process in the wake of German surrender at the end of World War II.
THE 50 ISSUES OF ILLUSTRIERTER BEOBACHTER offered here are extremely rare - VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND 80+ YEARS LATER.  Early issues of Illustrierter Beobachter are so rare that even the Nazi Party was advertising to try to buy back examples of some of them! See photo directly to the right.
Nazi Party weekly photo newspaper hurts the Jews
Blutfahne
The JB or Illustrierter Beobachter was the Nazi Party weekly photo newspaper published from 1926 to 1945 in München (Munich) by Verlag Franz Eher Nachfolger, but read by just about everybody, all over Germany. Each 10 x 14 inch issue typically contains about 10-14 pages of the very latest news, photographs and information gathered from around the world including plenty from the United States and England. The excellent heavily illustrated magazine was published every Saturday and sold for only 20 Reichspfennigs, the equivalent of 12 US cents.
Nazi Movement in the USA
Volksdeutschen in Amerika
These 1929-1932 issues (all but two are 1931) are an irreplaceable, heavily photographic history of the process that lifted the tiny Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei our of obscurity and on to the front pages of newspapers and magazines all over the world. The weekly was owned by by Verlag Franz Eher Nachfolger, the Central Publishing House of the NSDAP, and Adolf Hitler was the publisher. He also wrote a column for some issues to clarify matters that he felt were either misunderstood or under-publicized. In one of these issues he wrote about renewing the race, and in others about the End of Jewish Sovereignty in Russia?, Nation and Race, etc.

But mainly, the magazine was for the Nazi Party (in their own words) "a counter-weight to the Jewish Press" that they said dominated newspaper publishing in Germany at the time. Thus, many of the covers and many of the articles or features in the JB were of the strongest possible anti-Jewish nature. One full-page feature explains and depicts Nazis demonstrating against the "corrupt, lying and shameful" Jewish press in Germany.

This is historical Nazi Party material of the most valuable kind. It is a treasure of images and information about the period that would be very, very difficult (probably impossible) to find in the largest research libraries on earth.

CONDITION: the 2-¼ x 11 x 14 inch, 10 pound hardbound book is in very good used condition and in general the pages are in good or better condition. Some have been scotch taped by a previous owner and all are fully readable. No offensive odor.

The picture of the SS men carrying their brownshirts is not the cover a magazine but rather a one-sided poster on heavy paper that was provided to newsstands which were selling the 29 November 1930 issue of the magazine.

Have a look at single issues of JB , Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung
and Illustrirte Zeitung, also for sale on USMBOOKS.com.
