Berghof postcards from the Third Reich
Voelkischer Beobachter
This is a genuine Third Reich Heinrich Hoffmann photo book produced during the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler is this 96 page, 7-1/2 x 10-1/2 inch, soft cover publication called Hitler Abseits vom Alltag (Hitler, the Every Day Life of a Solitary Man). It contains 100 photos of Adolf Hitler in his surroundings at the Berghof on the Obersalzberg above Berchtesgaden and in other venues.
Hitler is seen traveling by train, by car and by air, in the Harz mountains, returning to Landsberg Prison, with Albert Speer, Professor Gall, Baldur von Schirach, Martin Bormann, sculptor Josef Thorak, at the grave or Carin Göring, with Göring and his wife Emmy at Carinhall on the Schorfheide, and in general the perfect picture of contentment.
With dozens and dozens of spectacular full-page and half-page photos, this 1937 edition (166-190,000 printing run) Zeitgeschichte-Verlag (Berlin) book presents Hitler in a way the world had never seen him before: at ease in his mountain home, with children and adults, reading, talking, relaxing, signing autographs and picnicking. There are many interior and exterior shots of the Berghof.
The 1937 Nazi photo book is in very good condition with the name stamp of a previous owner in Gablonz/Neisse on the front fly leaf.  The dust jacket is a professional laser photocopy from an original in our archive.
