Das junge Deutschland will Arbeit und Frieden (The New Germany wants Work and Peace) is subtitled “The Speeches by Chancellor Adolf Hitler, the Leader of the New Germany”. The 5-7/8 x 8-1/4 inch, 74 page softcover book contains a collection of speeches Hitler made after he was elected as Reichskanzler or State Chancellor of Germany in January 1933.

Das junge Deutschland will Arbeit und Frieden starts with a fine Heinrich Hoffmann studio portrait of Adolf Hitler followed by a foreword by Dr. Joseph Goebbels. Several speeches to Parliament are included in this book as well as the text of speeches to the leadership of the DAF, Nazi Reichsstatthalter, German farmers, etc.

In the back of the book there is advertising for Nazi Party publishing house Franz Eher publications such as Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf (also available in English!) and the Völkischer Beobachter as well as foreign language versions (English, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese) of this book Das junge Deutschland will Arbeit und Frieden.

The original owner wrote “Hitler Speeches as Chancellor” and the number 1 on the front cover.

Published by Liebheit & Thiesen in Berlin, this 85+ year old Nazi publication is complete with the frequently missing Heinrich Hoffmann Hitler portrait and in very nice, used condition. No odor.
