As in America where portraits of Franklin Delano Roosevelt were commonplace during World War II, the likeness of the leader of Germany was to be found everywhere in that country. In virtual parallel with the FDR image in America, Hitler was seen as the man who brought the country back from the brink of disaster.
Artists, photographers and publishers were very quick to fill the need for likenesses of the Nazi Führer and Germany’s 23rd Chancellor, Adolf Hitler. While Heinrich Hoffmann was one of the premier sellers of Hitler portraits and scenes, he had plenty of competition for a place on the wall in every home and office in Nazi Germany.
The portrait prints and scenes offered on this web page are all absolutely guaranteed to be 100% original to Third Reich Germany. All were made and sold in Germany between 1930 and May of 1945. None of these prints is a latter day reproduction or copy.

79) STANDING PHOTO PORTRAIT - (left) an excellent relatively early 7 x 10-7/8 inch photographic portrait (from a negative on photographic paper, not printed with a printing press) of Hitler standing and looking to his left, wearing a Nazi Brown Shirt with a Nazi swastika armband, his World War I Iron Cross First Class, his Black Wound Badge , Nazi eagle and swastika tie pin, and the Day Badge from a Nazi Party Rally. His left thumb is hooked over his waist belt and he clasps it with his right hand.
This slightly sepia print was made from a large contact negative that bore the markings No.12 ADOLF HITLER. The back of the print is marked in tiny letters DrTPa Nr.12.
There is a tiny crack in the emulsion in the lower right corner, otherwise this print is in excellent condition. $185.00 delivered in the USA.
80) HITLER SEATED - (right) an excellent 8-1/2 x 11-3/8 inch photographic portrait (from a negative on photographic paper, not printed with a printing press) of Hitler, dry-mounted to a heavy 9-3/16 x 12 inch card. It shows Hitler seated looking straight ahead, wearing a Nazi Brown Shirt with a Nazi swastika armband, his World War I Iron Cross First Class, his Black Wound Badge and a Nazi eagle and swastika tie pin. The brass SA / SS style belt buckle with a silver center on Hitler’s Sam Browne belt is clearly visible just above his hands.
This slightly sepia print was made from a large contact negative that bore the markings F. Langhammer KASSEL.
This print is in excellent condition and absolutely authentic to the Third Reich period. **SOLD**
