| This is a historically important, very hard to find 10-3/4 x 14 inch, very heavily illustrated 84 page, softcover book called der Führer in Weimar 1925 - 1938 issued in 1938 to commemorate another visit to Weimar by Adolf Hitler. It was published by the Nazi Gauleiter of Thüringen, Fritz Sauckel, at Christmas time in 1938. |

Hitler’s first major visit to Weimar had been on the occasion of the second Reichs Party Day of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP) which was held on 3 and 4 July 1926, as a show of disgust with the post-World War I government of Germany. |

| This book records all of the other visits by Hitler to Thüringen including many, many large photos of the parading standards of the SA and SS, the Blood Flag of the NSDAP, Hitler’s huge Mercedes-Benz armored touring cars, Nazi flags and posters, and superb interior and exterior photographs of Haus Elephant, Hitler’s residence in Weimar. |

| There are countless photographs of Nazi celebrities such as Sauckel, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Alfred Rosenberg, Walther Darré, Adolf Huhnlein, SS and NSKK Generals, Philip Bouhler, Martin Bormann, many Gauleiters, members of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH), Hitler Youth boys and girls, the SS-Totenkopf Standarte, etc. |

This specific example of the book der Führer in Weimar 1925 - 1938 is special in yet another way. Pasted inside the front cover is a 6 x 8 inch slip of paper presenting the book to an anonymous woman of the Gau and Kreis Leadership at a gathering in Weimar on 30 April 1940. The presentation slip bears the facsimile signature of Gauleiter and Reichsstatthalter Fritz Sauckel.

Fritz Sauckel was an honorary SA and SS General in addition to his duties as Gauleiter and Reichsstatthalter. In 1942 he became the Nazi Plenipotentiary-General for Labor Mobilization and obtained at least 5 million laborers in the Soviet Union and Occupied Territories. He was convicted as a war criminal by the International Military Tribunal at Nürnberg and hanged on 16 October 1946. |

| The cover of this rare 70 year old book is yellowed and spotted but the internal pages are in excellent condition with wonderful color. |
