This is an excellent 5-1/2 x 8-1/4 inch hinged steel box about 3 inches deep made to hold one pair of Luftwaffe Fliegerbrille or aviator goggles. The box is maker marked on the back side of the bottom with the code gym41.

The box still retains around 85% of its original dark grey-blue paint on the outside and about 98% on the inside.

Has the standard German Wehrmacht pin-type closure on the front and a small loop handle on the top.

A few minor dents but overall the box is in very good condition.
