This is a very good used original First Edition hard cover example of the big 9-1/2 x 9-1/2 inch, 120 page, very heavily illustrated book Fliegende Front (Flying Front) as written by Hauptmann W.E. Freiherr von Medem and published by Verlag Die Wehrmacht in Berlin, Germany in 1942.
Fliegende Front covers all aspects of the Luftwaffe units of the German Wehrmacht during the early glory days of World War II. There are chapters on Luftwaffe Leadership, Recon Squadrons, Battle over the Atlantic, Mine Layers, Bombing the Enemy, Dive Bombers, Fighters, Destroyers, Night Fighters, Transports, Paratroopers, Flak Troops and Signal Troops. BEST OF ALL, EVERY ONE OF THE 108 BIG, SHARP FULL-PAGE PICTURES IN THIS RARE BOOK ARE IN LIFELIKE FULL-COLOR!
The text of this book is very useful providing a great deal of information on the German flying service in the early part of the war, but the full-color photo material is what makes this book unique.
