This is a very nice original example of the rare Führer or guidebook to the events of the Deutsche Turn- und Sportfest (German Gymnastic and Athletic Festival) that was held in Breslau, Germany from 21 - 31 July 1938.
The festival was an enormous event attended by everyone that could take time off from a job, including the 23rd Chancellor of Germany and Nazi Party leader, Adolf Hitler, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, etc.
The soft cover guidebook measures 5-3/4 x 8-1/8 inch and contains 240 pages listing the time and place in Breslau for every sporting event, who was to compete and when, what the victor's awards would look like, etc., etc.
The book contains a Foreword by Reichsminister des Innern Dr. Frick, an Introduction by the Mayor of Breslau and Reichssportfuehrer Hans von Tschammer und Osten.
There are maps for every venue including a large 8-1/8 x 12-1/2 inch fold-out showing the parade route through the city to the Hermann Göring Sports Field along the river Oder.
The book is complete and in very nice condition.
