This is a very nice example of the 6 x 9 inch, 72 page very heavily illustrated softcover general merchandise catalog (like a small Sears catalog) from 1939 for the firm of R. Roth KG of Nürnberg, Germany, which advertised itself on the front cover as a ,,ARISCHES UNTERNEHMEN’’ or “Aryan Enterprise”.

The catalog is well-indexed and has hundreds of old time line drawings of a wide range of consumer merchandise from silverware and tools to knives, harmonicas (two pages!), flash lights, watches, smoking articles, ladies underwear, shaving gear, pens, wallets, knapsacks, luggage, brushes, combs, padlocks, etc.

This is the sort of catalog from which German soldiers in the field ordered many of the necessities and niceties for life in the foxholes. There is a piece of craft color paper tape across a paragraph of sales conditions on the back cover, that apparently were no longer valid.

This is a very nice Third Reich German general merchandise catalog in very good condition.
