Bolschewisierung: was heißt das in Wirklichkeit? translates as “Bolshevization: what does that mean in reality?” The subject is the battle between “us and world communism” - the destiny of not just Germany but humanity in general. “There is one choice for our nation: Victory or Communist Chaos!”
This exceedingly rare World War II German anti-communist propaganda publication was published by the SS publishing house Nibelungen-Verlag after the German defeat at Stalingrad in early 1943, when it was becoming clear to Nazi leaders that Germany might lose the war. Bolschewisierung: was heißt das in Wirklichkeit? pulls out all the stops to intensify the already strong German fear of the Russians and communism.
The book concludes that Nazi Germany must defeat the Soviet Union on the battlefield which would then make normal work and life possible, improve living standards and secure years of peace for children and grandchildren all over Europe.
The text on the last page of the book shown below translates as, Not only the population of western Europe, but also the populace of the East, are rising up. Volunteers from all the countries of the Soviet Union are streaming to the flag of their liberator. Can there be a more damning judgment of a system than that of those oppressed by it long enough to take up arms to fight it?

The text is not only very anti-Soviet, but also very anti-Jewish, anti-British, and anti-American. It is supplemented with gruesome pictures of dead bodies, torture victims in countries such as Spain and the Baltic states, as well as unflattering pictures of Winston Churchill, the Jewish Russian Ambassador Litwinow in Washington DC, and FDR’s Vice President Henry Wallace.
The heavily illustrated 5-7/8 x 8 inch, 32-page publication is filled with examples of life under communism in several different countries, suppression, murder and suffering, terrible abusive conditions for political prisoners, forced labor, communist “justice”, and there is even a chapter titled “what would a Soviet-Germany look like?”
