Once in a while a rare original Preisliste der Kleiderkasse der Schutzstaffel (Clothing Office of the SS Price List) comes up for sale. However, the Third Reich cover letter that accompanied the price list of the Kleiderkasse der Schutzstaffel is an extremely rare piece of SS ephemera that hardly ever comes to the surface in the 21st century since IT was discarded when the price list was filed!

This 100% original cover letter dated 1 February 1941 informed all SS-Leaders that the new price list was enclosed, and that over the counter purchases of SS clothing were possible at Kaiserallee 42 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf and in the Hofgebäude at Karlstraße 10 in Munich. Every SS-Führer who bought from the Kleiderkasse der Schutzstaffel was guaranteed materiel according to regulation and at reasonable prices. Payment, credit and mail order information was also covered in this letter.

The letter originated at the desk of SS-Brigadeführer Frank (Head of the SS-Verwaltungsamt) at the Kleiderkasse der Schutzstaffel on Kaiserallee 43 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

His signature is printed on the 77 year old A4 size (210 x 297 mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inch) letter which is in very good condition, exactly as shown.    Note the Waffen-SS printing markings in the lower left corner of this letter.
