We have had comment about the authenticity of this ID card because it does not bear the member's signature. That was regulation for cards kept in a central registry and not carried by the owner. Guaranteed to be absolutely authentic unaltered Third Reich material.

For veteran sympathizers too old to serve in the beer hall brawls of the regular Sturmabteilungen (SA or Storm Detachments) of the NSDAP, SA Kreisführers issued identity cards for the SA Reserves of the Nazi Party.

This is precisely such a card issued to one Friedrich Burkhard in Künzelsau on 28 August 1934.

The stiff gray card measures about 4 x 5-1/4 inches and has 12 dues stamps dated 1934 and 1935 attached to the back.

Rare and in good original condition.
