By mid-World War II when this 6-5/8 x 11 inch four-page multi-color card stock aerial fire bomb firefighting manual was printed, Allied day and night bombing of German cities and industries was a routine matter.

Printed on heavy chipboard with a hole in the upper left corner for a hanging cord, this big instruction card was published by the Präsidium des Reichsluftschutzbundes and expected to be hung near fire fighting tools where it could easily be referenced.

The card's four pages cover:

A) fire bombs and how to deal with them
    (suggests tossing them out the window!),
B) fighting fires at their source,
C) fighting massive fires,
D) the weapons used in fighting fire bombs and other fires.

A rare and very historic World War II German home front piece. This may be the last surviving example as this sort of thing was no longer needed and immediately destroyed when the war ended in May of 1945. Very good used condition, and absolutely original to the Third Reich period in Nazi Germany.
