This is a marvelous dedicated, autographed presentation copy of a fine linen-bound limited edition Nazi NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps or National Socialist Motorized Transport Corps) book in excellent condition. The 7 x 10-1/4 inch, 88 page, well-illustrated hard cover book 10. Dreitage Mittegebirgsfahrt 1938 (The 10th Three-Day Middle Mountain Rally 1938) recounting every aspect of the famous three-day SS, SA, NSKK, DDAC, Wehrmacht and industry off-road car / truck / motorcycle race through the mountains of the center of Germany. The beautifully bound book has the title heavily embossed on the front cover in gold foil blocking.

The 10th annual 3-day NSKK sponsored race was headquartered in Goslar, Harz, traversed every possible terrain and attracted hundreds of participants in all eight vehicle categories. The 1938 race was a huge success, as it had been in the previous nine years.
NSKK-Motorgruppe Niedersachsen
The splendid book we offer here is one of only 1200 printed in 1938 for NSKK Korpsführer Adolf Hühnlein to present to dignitaries and high level officials of the Nazi Party, the German government and the Wehrmacht, all of whom were vitally interested in the resurgence of motor racing in the Third Reich Germany of Adolf Hitler.

Hühnlein was a German World War I veteran, an early Nazi who took part in the 1923 Nazi Putsch in Munich and was imprisoned in Landsberg as a result. Hitler put him in charge of the NSKK at an early date and Hühnlein remained its Korpsführer until his natural death in June of 1942. He held both the Blood Order and [posthumously] the German Order.

The imprimatur on the last page of the book specifically
states that it is example 511 of 1200 copies printed.
Eduard Dransfeld, Generalmajor u. Inspektor des Kraftfahrwesens der Luftwaffe im R.L.M
General der Flieger Eduard Dransfeld
The dedication on the front flyleaf is to “Eduard Dransfeld, Generalmajor u. Inspektor des Kraftfahrwesens der Luftwaffe im R.L.M. [Reichsluftfahrtministerium] Berlin 10. Dreitagfahrt im Jahr 1938”.
Nazi motorcycle
Eduard Dransfeld (shown above) was a distinguished, heavily decorated German World War I pilot who moved up through the ranks to become a Generalmajor in October 1936. He retired from the Luftwaffe on 31 May 1943 as General der Flieger. He once owned this book.

The full-page photo of NSKK Korpsführer Adolf Hühnlein on page 3 of the book (shown at the top of this web page) is boldly autographed by Hühnlein in pen and ink. The book also contains lots of maps and photos of the venue as well.

A fine Hühnlein autograph in a very rare NSKK presentation book dedicated to and once owned by a well-known Luftwaffe Pilot and General,
