| The splendid book we offer here is one of only 1200 printed in 1938 for NSKK Korpsführer Adolf Hühnlein to present to dignitaries and high level officials of the Nazi Party, the German government and the Wehrmacht, all of whom were vitally interested in the resurgence of motor racing in the Third Reich Germany of Adolf Hitler.
Hühnlein was a German World War I veteran, an early Nazi who took part in the 1923 Nazi Putsch in Munich and was imprisoned in Landsberg as a result. Hitler put him in charge of the NSKK at an early date and Hühnlein remained its Korpsführer until his natural death in June of 1942. He held both the Blood Order and [posthumously] the German Order. |

| Eduard Dransfeld (shown above) was a distinguished, heavily decorated German World War I pilot who moved up through the ranks to become a Generalmajor in October 1936. He retired from the Luftwaffe on 31 May 1943 as General der Flieger. He once owned this book.
The full-page photo of NSKK Korpsführer Adolf Hühnlein on page 3 of the book (shown at the top of this web page) is boldly autographed by Hühnlein in pen and ink. The book also contains lots of maps and photos of the venue as well. |
