Not only are the 1930s graphics on the cover of this DDAC winter sport map for motorists superb, the color map of Nazi Germany is as well. This full-color map was printed for members of the DDAC (Der Deutsche Automobilclub), the German Auto Club. Folded out, it measures 32 x 44-1/2 inches and is very detailed (scale 1:625,000). It is dated 1938/39 when the Sudetenland part of Czechoslovakia was already part of Hitler's Nazi Germany.
The Nazi Strassenkarte shows all the Reichsautobahn sections that were under construction and already completed, as well as highways, small country roads, scenic tourist routes, railways, winter sport areas, cablecars, even ski jumps! There are six sections covering the Alps on the southern border of Germany all the way to Vienna in the East, the Schwarzwald or Black Forest in the west of Nazi Germany, but also the Harz and Taunus mountains as well as the Erzgebirge.
This original Third Reich DDAC-Wintersportkarte von Deutschland für Kraftfahrer was printed by Jro-Verlag München Carl Kremling of Munich. It is in good used condition, NO taped seams, no tears, no fading! However, there is a small piece of the corner of the cover missing, see photo above. This does not affect the map itself.
